Many people who surround themselves with material possessions are under the false illusion that by doing so, it will bring them happiness, fulfillment, and a sense of purpose to their lives. Even when they acquire what they thought were much needed material possessions, they’ll often find themselves asking: “Why do I still feel so empty inside?”

I understand that it is so easy to get caught up in the physical world, and we forget that: We are souls that come with a body – and not a body that comes with a soul. We are a soul first.

Years and years of ‘life’ can sometimes over shadow our spiritual lives, and we often slowly begin to pull away from our souls promptings and forget that we are in fact powerful souls. When this happens it’s so easy to focus only on the physical and materialistic things that surround us.

By comparison, people who live a more spiritual life and who work from a soul level realize that there is so much more to this life than the more visible materialistic physical world. I’ve noticed that these people seem to get the bigger picture with a broader perspective, have a richer understanding of life, and a deeper meaning to who they are, what they do, and how they live their lives.

By contrast, if you’re the type of person who continues to seek answers from just the outside world, then I hope by understanding and working with your soul, you will confirm that there is true wisdom and guidance that is readily available, which you can find within.

This phenomenal place of unlimited resource is accessible to each and every one of us and once you begin to recognize that, you’ll begin to feel, see, and experience a world that you never thought possible.

This week, here’s one easy exercise you can do even when you don’t have the luxury of lots of time.

When you want to experience the feeling of being with your soul, or when you feel you need to slow the pace down when life gets overwhelming and chaotic, simply close your eyes, cross your hands over your heart, breathe deeply and say to yourself: “Find my center.”

By doing so, you’ll open the connection with your soul, where you’ll discover that you’re able to let go and gently relax into the present.
